Maude Turner

My name is Maude Turner and I am the project coordinator for Every Baby to 1. As the parent of four children, I understand the importance of getting every baby to one. During the first year of this pilot program, I became pregnant, and was able to walk through the education process with other families. It was a pleasure to empower families through understanding how important safe sleep, safe space, and social support is for each mom, baby, and family to have. Since moving into this position, I have become heavily involved in early childhood development and advocating for family development in my community. I serve as the Staff Lead for the New Bethel Church Nursery, as the Chairperson of the Parent Committee at Ability KC Preschool, and I served as secretary for the Head Start Parent Committee Board. I sincerely believe that knowledge is power, and I hope to continue to empower mothers and families with the knowledge that I have had the privilege to learn.
